The Merrell Moab 3 Mid (Men’s) is a versatile, supportive mid-height hiking boot designed to provide all-around comfort, traction, and protection on a variety of trails. A continuation of Merrell’s long-running Moab series — often called the “Mother of All Boots” — the Moab 3 Mid brings a refined fit, improved cushioning, and dependable grip to day hikes, backpacking outings, and extended outdoor adventures. Constructed with a durable leather and breathable mesh upper, the Moab 3 Mid balances rugged toughness and airflow to help keep your feet comfortable on longer hikes, even in warmer conditions. Its mid-height design provides additional ankle support and stability compared to low-cut versions, making it well-suited for uneven terrain and loaded pack days. Underfoot, the boot features Merrell’s Super Rebound Compound midsole for shock absorption and smooth stride transitions, along with a Merrell Air Cushion in the heel to help mitigate impact and add comfort on rugged or rocky ground. A Vibram® TC5+ outsole with 5 mm multi-direction lugs provides trustworthy traction across dirt, gravel, hard-packed trails, and loose rock. With out-of-the-box comfort, solid protection, and respectable weight for a mid-height design, the Merrell Moab 3 Mid is ideal for hikers seeking a reliable boot that performs well across varied terrain and conditions.
