Product Details
The Patagonia Women’s Nano-Air Light Bottoms are insulated midlayer pants designed for high-output activities in cold environments. Blending the flexibility of performance tights with the warmth of lightweight insulated pants, they are intended to be worn during active pursuits such as ski touring, alpine climbing, winter hiking, or mountaineering. The pants use 40-gram FullRange® synthetic insulation, which is engineered to provide warmth while remaining highly breathable. Unlike traditional insulated pants that prioritize static warmth, FullRange insulation allows excess heat and moisture to escape during movement. This helps maintain comfort during stop-and-go activities where temperature regulation is important. A recycled polyester ripstop shell provides durability while maintaining stretch for unrestricted movement. The air-permeable construction works together with the insulation to balance warmth and ventilation. Stretch panels and articulated patterning further improve mobility, allowing the pants to function comfortably under a climbing harness or while moving through technical terrain. The pull-on design uses a smooth elastic waistband that sits comfortably beneath outer layers or harness systems. A zippered thigh pocket offers secure storage without interfering with harness leg loops. Overall, the Nano-Air Light Bottoms are designed as a performance midlayer that delivers lightweight insulation and mobility for cold-weather activities where maintaining breathability during movement is essential.
