Rather than a stuffy layer of synthetic insulation, the Alt HB utilizes innovative Octayarn lining that pulls excess heat away from the body, leaving us at the just-right temperature for the conditions. Normally, CFM ratings are reserved for windproof garments, but this jacket is so breathable, Marmot tested its air-permeance and determined a rating of 50 CFM, breathable as can be. Between this airflow and the thermal-regulating lining, the Alt HB Hooded Jacket is the most ideal layer for warmth without hindrance on high-output activities.
